FED: BHP industrial action to cost millions this week

Steelworkers at a BHP plant in Victoria will stop work this morning to discuss a delegates'
recommendation for a 24-hour stoppage.

The stop work marks the resumption of a union campaign over an iron ore workers' dispute
in the Pilbara.

The Australian Workers Union says BHP steel operations in New South Wales, Victoria
and Western Australia will be hit by stoppages this week.

Iron and steel production at the massive Port Kembla steelworks in NSW will come to
a halt for 24 hours from the start of the night shift on Wednesday.
