NSW: Suspected drugs crop found at fire in Sydney's south-west

A suspected cannabis crop was revealed when firefighters were called to a blaze inSydney's south-west overnight.

Police say the fire brigade was called to a fire at a house in Haigh Avenue, GeorgesHall, about 11pm (AEDT) last night.

When firefighters tried to enter the home to put out the blaze an extensive hydroponicssystem was discovered.

Police and Hazmat officers were then called to examine the house.

The scene was preserved and police will thoroughly examine the site today.

The fire caused relatively minor damage to the interior of the building.
